Doom 3 - and playing in the dark.

I had just bought a brand new kit around the Doom 3 release. With it I had gotten a very good sound system, and state of the art everything. The game loaded and played well, and I sat there pulling an all-nighter, as I had the weekend off from everything.

Around 3am my I was far into the game, on the hardest difficulty I could choose, and that's when my friends decided to come to my house, drunk as only students can be. I was, as I mentioned, quite involved in the game, jumping in my chair everytime something out of the ordinary happend. (Or should I say "everytime something ordinary happend", as monsters rushing at you became very normal after a while.) They, of course, knew that I'm a gamer, and decided to make a joke on me, so they started making weird noises outside my windows, tapping it, and hiding, and stuff like that.

After a while they threw something at the window, so hard I'm still in wonder as of how it didn't break. I jumped out of the chair, scared to death, and I swear - I think I know what cardiac arrest feels like.
